I built up all of this hype around my blog, launched it, and then only posted ONCE. Not cool, I know, but there have been so many exciting, stressful, crazy, challenging, amazing things that have happened over the past 2 months that needed my undivided attention.
It feels like I’ve been in the eye of a powerful yet beautiful storm lately, with all of life’s craziness spinning and swirling around me.
Right before I found out that I got my job at Housing Works, I journaled about what I wanted my life to be like, assuming I got the position. It’s so crazy to see the words I wrote down on paper become a physical reality. I have officially moved into my adorable apartment on Bedford Ave in Williamsburg, surrounded by so much music, coffeeshops, art, thrift shops (literally 250 ft away from Buffalo Exchange + Crossroads Trading #goodbyepaycheck), record shops and just all of my favorite things.
I’ve spent hours and hours designing and organizing my room, too! I can’t wait to show you all what it looks like.
This is just the beginning of my time here in Brooklyn, and I’m already so in love. Below are some photos taken by my good friend Gunsel a few months back! The bomber jacket that I’m wearing is a vintage 1970’s basketball jacket, how cool is that?! I picked this up at Antiques on Main in New Paltz, NY. Aldo platform boots thrifted from Housing Works.
Excited to continue doing some great work with her, so stay tuned!
